A new feature this year: the Audition Prep Day!
This is a special day designed to give you some extra tips to help you prepare for your audition. It is free, and is organized in collaboration with the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, the Centre Segal and the Faculty of Music of the Université de Montréal. The program includes group classes and a show.

- Time: 9:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- Location: Centre Segal, 5170 Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine, Montreal
Prior registration is required if you wish to attend the Prep Day.
If (like many of the musicians who will be accepted to the 2009 Blues Camp) you come from outside Montreal and are unable to attend the Audition Prep Day on April 5, there's no need to worry. It is not compulsory, and if you are careful to follow the recommendations made in the "How to prepare" section, you'll have all the essentials you need to prepare and practice appropriately.
On the Audition Prep Day, drum kits, keyboards and amps will be provided on site. However, anyone playing a brass instrument, guitar or bass guitar must bring his or her own instrument. Drummers: remember your drumsticks!
And don't forget to bring a lunch!
